LOW AIR 15 | Visual Dance Performance GAME OVER

“Jokes aside, we are immortal.” — Julio Cortázar

When visiting the grave of one of the most prominent Argentine writers of the 20th century, Julio Cortázar, it is customary to leave a glass of wine and a sheet of paper with a drawing of the “hopscotch” game. Inspired by this tradition and the author’s playful approach to the rules of imagination, the Low Air team presents an innovative performance combining dance and visual art.

The artists invite audiences to immerse themselves in a dream, play with their imagination and, for once, not be afraid to remain in their dreams. The performance takes the form of a game with the audience, drawing them into unexpected encounters between dream and reality. The situations unfolding throughout the performance end at the moment of awakening.

The audience is transported into specific situations centred around relationships – both with other people and with oneself. Inventions and subtle emotional experiences intertwine with the reality of dreams, becoming inseparable elements of image and movement.

The visual dance performance “GAME OVER” explores dreams and examines how they might be interpreted in real life. The performance is filled with symbols and codes that the audience, together with the creative team, is invited to decipher.
