How to Publish an Event

The event website www.vilnius-events.lt is designed to showcase the most important cultural events in Vilnius. Events should be relevant both to Vilnius residents and to international visitors; therefore, priority is given to events that provide information in Lithuanian and/or English. This ensures that the published events are understandable and accessible to a broad audience. Event listings on the website are free of charge. The website administrator reserves the right to select which events are published.

The main criteria for event selection:

1. Events must be of significant importance to the city’s cultural life and represent the city.
2. Events included in traditional city event calendars.
3. Events supported by Vilnius City Municipality or its cultural institutions.
4. Events open and relevant to a wide public audience.
5. Events appealing to tourists visiting Vilnius from various countries.
6. Priority is given to events that provide information in Lithuanian and/or English.

Events that are NOT published or published only with administrator approval:

1. Events with incomplete information (missing date, venue, ticket price, description, or images).
2. Religious ceremonies and celebrations organized by religious communities.
3. Events targeted at narrow interest groups.
4. Ongoing events or long-term event cycles.
5. Classes, lessons, courses, seminars, workshops, camps, and training auditions.
6. Events promoting commercial products or services.
7. Political or agitation-driven events.
8. Erotic events or performances.
9. Events related to the advertising, promotion, presentation, or encouragement of the use of alcohol, tobacco, psychotropic, or other psychoactive substances are not published on the website.
10. Events that provide information only in languages other than Lithuanian or English and are not relevant to international or local tourists based on the website’s purpose.
