Herbs Market

The fragrant, green, and music-filled Herbs Market is returning to Vilnius once again! This year, to help prepare for the fast-approaching Rasos (Midsummer) celebration, the Vilnius Ethnic Culture Center invites everyone to a lively event in Bernardine Garden. On June 15, vendors will offer a wide variety of nature’s treasures, and in the evening, the musical group Baltos Varnos will fill the park with song!

The Herbs Market is a revival of an early 20th-century Vilnius tradition that honors the deep roots of Rasos and the city’s cultural heritage, combining ideas of ecological living and folklore. As the magical Rasos night approaches, plants are believed to reveal their special powers—making this the perfect time to embrace blooming, living nature and stock up on its gifts. At the market, you’ll find herbal products, flowers, spices, natural body care goods, culinary delicacies, and traditional folk art.

In addition to the market, visitors will enjoy a rich cultural program featuring sing-alongs, traditional dances, lectures, and entertainment for children.
