ABOUT THE FILMS:

THE PEACOCK
Matthias is a master of his craft – a professional “friend for hire” who perfectly impersonates any character a client requests. Need an educated boyfriend to impress your friends? Or a model son to charm business partners? Matthias delivers. Yet when it comes to being himself around his partner or friends, he struggles deeply.
In English and German with Lithuanian subtitles.

I BOUGHT
In a parking lot outside a shopping center, customers list their daily purchases. Item by item, their lists merge into a meditative stream of goods – exploring consumerism through an existential lens rather than a material one.
In Lithuanian with English subtitles.

PIETINIA KRONIKAS
Tracksuits and leather jackets, street punks and wild girls, love and rugby – the cult novel Pietinia Kronikas by Šiauliai-born Rimantas Kmita hits the screen. Late 1990s. In the southern district of Šiauliai – nicknamed “the city of Vandams and Schwarzes” – lives local tough guy Rimants (played by Džiugas Grinys). Like any proper “bachūrs,” he wears tracksuits, sells knock-off clothes at the market with his buddy Minde (Robertas Petraitis), and plays rugby – much to his mother’s dismay.
But then Rimants falls for Monika (Digna Kulionytė) – a wild and beautiful girl who turns his world upside down. For love, he even starts reading books and writing poems. And so the big question arises: What’s the point of all this? Should I be like everyone else – or think for myself?
In Lithuanian with English subtitles.
