On June 19 at 6:30 PM, a free concert dedicated to the celebration of freedom will take place in Vilnius Town Hall Square. This event marks the upcoming 249th anniversary of the United States (USA) and the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence. Taking the stage will be the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band’s brass quintet “Five Star Brass” together with the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra in a joint performance.
The 90-minute concert program will feature lively pieces from a variety of genres and styles – ranging from classic marches to jazz rhythms and recognizable melodies.
The mission of “Five Star Brass”, a U.S. military band ensemble, is to share the traditions of American music around the world. Through concerts, educational programs, and official events, “Five Star Brass” fosters international cooperation and represents the United States Air Force.
The celebration is organized by the U.S. Embassy in Lithuania in cooperation with the Vilnius City Municipality. The event is free and open to all.
