The Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Film Museum, in collaboration with the festival Inconvenient Films and the co-creation project NK-DOKU, aims to spark dialogue around the community and invites visitors to experience virtual reality and immerse themselves in a documentary screening full of color and Brazilian rhythms.
On June 13, join us in the π΄ππππππππ spaces, where the following awaits:
Muzeoteka, Vilniaus g. 41D, entrance from KlaipΔdos str.
ππ:ππ-ππ:ππ β πΌπππ’ππ π (dir. May Abdalla, Barry Gene Murphy | France | 2024 | English | 40 min.) β a virtual reality film portraying the intense experiences of four individuals living with different extremes of ADHD. Symbols, shadows, and textures become launching points for vivid imagination, offering a visceral sense of how this often-discussed condition operates and feels.
SPACE IS LIMITED! Registration opens on May 30: https://fienta.com/vr-impulse-kulturosnaktis25
ππ:ππ-ππ:ππ β π©ππππππππ (dir. Sissel Morell Dargis | Denmark, Spain | 2023 | Portuguese with Lithuanian and English subtitles | 93 min.) takes you to Brazil, where gangs compete to build enormous paper balloons. As these groups of baloeiros strive to craft the biggest and most spectacular balloon, they are pursued by police as if they were major criminals. Gaining the trust of these balloon gangs, the filmmaker weaves a gripping narrative about brotherhood on the fringes of society and the vital role of inspiring, supportive communities in peopleβs lives.
With this event program, we aim to provide an opportunity to experience high-quality documentary content and to encourage the creation of empathy-based connections in society. The NK-DOKU project (www.nkdoku.lt) invites representatives of diverse communities to gather and create their own Culture Night!
The program is free of charge and part of Culture Night Vilnius.
