European Museum Night at the Tuskulėnai Memorial

Do you have the courage to become a light that dispels the darkness of Soviet-era brutality? Would you like to better understand life in the Soviet Union and Soviet-occupied Lithuania, and explore the mindset of the so-called Homo Sovieticus? We invite you to spend European Museum Night at the Tuskulėnai Memorial – a site that bears witness to the painful stories of occupation and the crimes once hidden by repressive Soviet structures.

Program – May 18 | 6:00 PM–10:00 PM:

  • 6:00–10:00 PM – Free admission to the museum exhibitions:
    “Secrets of the Tuskulėnai Manor” (White Manor House, Žirmūnų g. 1N, Vilnius),
    “Project – HOMO SOVIETICUS” and the Chapel-Columbarium (Žirmūnų g. 1F, Vilnius)

  • 6:30–8:30 PM – Cultural education activity: “Games at the Manor”
    Discover popular 17th–19th century outdoor and tabletop games, offering fun for both children and adults
    (Tuskulėnai Manor Courtyard, Žirmūnų g. 1F)

  • 7:30–8:30 PM – Piano concert by internationally acclaimed virtuoso Kasparas Uinskas, featuring works by Frédéric Chopin
    (Manor Palace, Žirmūnų g. 1F)

  • 8:30–10:00 PM – Guided tour of the Tuskulėnai Peace Park
    Learn about the history of the manor, key events from the Soviet era, and visit the Chapel-Columbarium, final resting place for victims of Soviet repression
