Join us just a 10-minute walk from Vilnius Old Town, in the wild sanctuary of Kalnai Park, for a truly authentic Midsummer experience.

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

The Dew Holiday (Rasos) or Midsummer Festival in Kalnai Park marks the beginning of the festive weekend. One of its most enchanting traditions is the Singing the Sun to Rest (Saulės palydėjimas) ceremony—an ancient polyphonic song circle that brings together both locals and travelers in a magical ritual. Held in a sacred Baltic site, this experience offers a rare opportunity to take part in a centuries-old tradition.

This experience is ideal for travelers who may not have much time but still want to immerse themselves in one of the most authentic Baltic traditions.

The group meets a Baltic Gently guide in Vilnius’ Old Town before heading together to Kalnai Park. Before the main Rasos singing ceremony, we will:
• Craft traditional flower wreaths
• Explore the deeper meanings of Baltic Midsummer traditions
• Share traditional food and drinks

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Dew Holiday (Rasos) in Kalnai Park consists of three main parts:
1. Discovering the tradition – learning about the customs and symbols of Midsummer
2. Enjoying a traditional picnic – tasting seasonal treats and festive drinks
3. Joining the sacred singing circle – experiencing the magic of ancient Baltic songs with local Lithuanians

The third part of the experience, the Singing the Sun to Rest ceremony, begins at 7:00 PM and lasts until 10:00 PM. Participants are free to stay for the entire event or leave earlier if needed.
