Eimuntas Nekrošius’ theatre was not just about visuals but also sound. Music in his productions was more than a backdrop; it breathed, shaped atmospheres, and became an invisible yet essential character. His theatrical soundscape comes alive in a unique concert blending live orchestra, actors’ performances, archival material, and exceptional video projections.
This time, the sound world of Nekrošius’ theatre comes to life in a new format – a theatrical concert that combines live orchestral and actor performances, archival material, and video projections specially created for this event. For this concert, composers have adapted their works for a new live performance, giving them a fresh sound. This concert is the living soul of Nekrošius’ theatre, resonating through time.
Vilnius was and will remain the home of Nekrošius’ creations. His productions became legends here, and it was in this city that the director redefined the language of theatre. It is no coincidence that the concert space will gain even deeper symbolism: in Vilnius, the concert will merge with the historic setting of St. John’s Church.
