For 20 years, nestled in the green neighborhood of Žvėrynas, we’ve been welcoming everyone who misses jazz in their life or lives by its rhythm.

At the lounge-bar Veranda, we celebrate live jazz every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Greta Šimkutė is a charismatic vocalist known for jazz, Latin American, and improvisational music, originally from the port city of Klaipėda. Her early steps toward professional music led her to discover that jazz was her true passion and the stage her second home. For six years, she has been performing progressively in Lithuania and abroad with jazz and improvisational music groups and quartets. Greta is a master’s student of contemporary and improvisational music at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is a student of the renowned Lithuanian jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Vladimir Chekasin, a participant in rhythm and free music masterclasses, and the winner of the Vilnius Jazz Young Power 2018 competition. Greta has also been a finalist in the GARAŽAS’18 band competition, the alternative music festival RUMSHK, a participant in the popular Lithuanian music project The Voice of Lithuania, and a three-time awardee at the children’s and youth jazz competition Jazz Fontanas, including 1st place in the jazz category at the 2015 international Music Talent League competition.

Vaidas Grišmanauskas is a young-generation musician who doesn’t confine himself to a single genre, always seeking a unique sound by exploring both traditional jazz and modern music. Despite a relatively short career so far, he has performed at nearly all major Lithuanian cities and festivals with various projects. His musical influences include Kurt Rosenwinkel, Avishai Cohen, Yotam Silberstein, Gilad Hekselman, Julian Lage, Bill Evans, and Brian Blade. Having chosen a professional music career, he studied at Vilnius College, participated in seminars led by musicians such as Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, Neff Irizarry, Frédéric Borey, Vyacheslav Ganelin, Ara Yaralyan, and Gilad Hekselman. He is currently continuing his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Before Vilnius College, he studied and graduated from the Stasys Šimkus Conservatory in Klaipėda, where he focused on classical music and actively participated in classical music competitions.
