Good news for contemporary music fans: on the 1st of July, David Kushner, American music star and author of the hit ‘Daylight’, will give an exclusive concert in the Vilnius University Kairėnai Botanical Garden. The musician, who has conquered the hearts of the younger generation of listeners with his deep vocals, will present his latest album and his most famous tracks in Vilnius.
Although D. Kushner’s musical career is only three years old, his success has been lightning fast. The Chicago-born singer, who, in 2022, rose to fame on the social network ‘TikTok’ with songs such as ‘Miserable Man’ and ‘Mr. Forgettable’, spent most of 2023 on a concert tour in the US and the United Kingdom. His debut EP ‘Footprints I Found’ racked up more than a billion streams online, while his trademark song ‘Daylight’ went platinum.
Speaking about his latest album, ‘The Dichotomy’, which he will be presenting in Vilnius, D. Kushner said: “I hope that listeners will find something in the album that they can identify with, whether it’s the lyrics, the melody, or just the overall mood of the album. I want listeners to realise that they are not alone in whatever they are going through and to find light or hope in my music.”
The album is called ‘The Dichotomy’ for a reason, as D. Kushner’s new music explores the dichotomy in our lives, divided into equal parts of light and dark. In his songs, he explores the difference between faith and fame, between good and evil, between temptations and values – a struggle he reflects in his music, which is based on a deep and spiritual faith.
