Choral Spring in Vilnius: Masterworks Choir (UK)

This year’s “Choral Spring” festival is proud to welcome guests from the United Kingdom – the Masterworks Choir – an ambitious and professional ensemble based in Leeds. This concert is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of British choral tradition through a contemporary lens and a captivating program.

The Masterworks Choir brings together singers from across the regions of Northern England and is known for its fresh, emotionally engaging interpretations and performances in remarkable venues – from historic cathedrals to grand estates.

International touring is an essential part of the choir’s identity. In recent years, they have performed Dvořák’s music in Prague, honored the works of Josef Gabriel Rheinberger in his home church in Luxembourg, presented Vivaldi’s Gloria at the historic Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pietà in Venice, sung at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, and moved audiences in Paris with Fauré’s Requiem at La Madeleine – the very church where the piece was originally premiered.
