The summer concert series VOICES OF AMERICA kicks off this year with the inspiring energy of youth from Florida – the Manatee High School Choir!
Led by the talented conductor Thomas Jomisko, this ensemble has been nurturing a strong choral tradition for over 60 years and consistently wins accolades at festivals across the United States.
In recent years, the choir has performed at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York four times and has collaborated with world-renowned conductors such as Anton Armstrong, Craig Arnold, and Jerry Blackstone.
The Manatee Choir is known for the cultural diversity of its repertoire – performing in Haitian Creole, Norwegian, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, and many European languages.
During this tour, the choir will present a special program featuring works in Finnish, Latvian, and Lithuanian, offering audiences a glimpse into the American choral tradition.
This will be more than just a concert – it will be a cultural exchange through music. We invite you to the premiere evening of Voices of America at St. John’s Church!
