The world’s top discus throwers are coming to Lithuania for one final showdown this season at the “DOMĖ” Professional Discus Throwing Competition in Vilnius!

Held for the second consecutive year at Vingis Park Stadium, the athletes will compete for the Vilnius Mayor’s Cup and a prize fund of €10,000.

Before the discus competition, young athletes will take part in the “CUP” 60 m Children’s Sprint, followed later by the “EMSI” 400 m Family Run. We invite Vilnius residents not only to watch world-class discus throwing but also to become active participants in this celebration of sport!

Through this event, we aim to bring athletics closer to children, young people and families, while working together to build a more active, sporty and community-minded Vilnius.

The event is organised by the “Jusis Training” Sports Club and supported by Vilnius City Municipality.

⚫ Mykolas Alekna – world record holder, Olympic silver medallist and European champion.

⚫ Kristjan Čeh – world champion and two-time European champion.

⚫ Rojé Stona – Olympic champion.

⚫ Ruben Rolvink – five-time Dutch discus champion and finalist at the 2026 European Athletics Championships.

⚫ Martynas Alekna – seventh-place finisher at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and finalist at the 2026 European Athletics Championships.

⚫ Shaquille Emanuelson – Dutch discus champion and finalist at the 2026 European Athletics Championships.

“CUP” 60 M CHILDREN’S SPRINT

While registration is taking place, children will also have an opportunity to try different athletics events. The sprint is open to 100 participants aged 7–13. Both children who already practise sport and those stepping up to a real starting line for the very first time are warmly invited to participate.

Every child who crosses the finish line will receive a medal.

Places are limited.

“EMSI” 400 M FAMILY RUN

A fun and inclusive activity for Vilnius families: a 400-metre run for children and their family members. Put together your team and cross the finish line together!

We look forward to welcoming you to the Discus Throwing Competition by DOMĖ, where you will also have an opportunity to meet world-class athletes and the Mayor of Vilnius during the awards ceremony.
