Vilnius Gallery Weekend 2026

Returning for its eleventh year, Vilnius Gallery Weekend (VGW) invites you to discover Vilnius’s galleries, project spaces, artists, and the people shaping and growing the city’s visual arts scene.

For a few days, the city becomes one vast art trail, bursting with exhibition openings, guided tours, workshops, debates, artist talks and special events. VGW is for everyone—whether you are a seasoned gallery-goer or just looking for the perfect excuse to step inside for the first time.

This year, the festival shines a spotlight on the history of Lithuanian galleries and their role today. While the international art market spans more than two centuries, Lithuania’s contemporary gallery scene is only a few decades old. VGW invites us to ask what a gallery is today, how it works and where it fits within the city’s cultural landscape.

The programme lifts the curtain on the hidden side of the art world, exploring the traditions of collecting, curating and dealing, alongside both local and international networks.We are mapping out the gallery scene, charting new routes and inviting you to take a closer look.
