– On foot?
A small town in Serbia. Day laborer Nikola is forced to give his two children to social services after poverty and hunger lead his wife to attempt suicide. Although he tries to create a suitable environment for his family, the social services leadership refuses to return the children. Discovering that the local authorities may be corrupt, Nikola decides to walk across the entire country to the National Ministry’s headquarters in Belgrade. Despite all hardships and driven by love, the father is determined to win back his children.
