Tria Decennia

In October, St. Catherine’s Church will become the venue for an exceptional cultural celebration – the early dance troupe “Festa Cortese” will commemorate its 30th anniversary. This will be a reconstruction of their creative journey, during which the troupe will look back on their most cherished moments, most prominent collaborations, and stage concepts that have shaped the troupe’s identity over the decades.

The dramaturgy of the evening is structured as a subtle portrait of the troupe: early music will set the emotional tone, an actor’s voice will provide the narrative line, and the dance scenes – performed in atmospheric, authentic costumes with historical choreography – will reveal an aesthetic rarely seen on today’s stage. Rather than a journey through different eras, the audience will witness the troupe’s artistic manifestation: what has endured, what has matured, and what has become an integral part of its identity.

Performances by various guest ensembles will bring unique colors to the event – ranging from courtly elegance and the vitality of folklore to theatrical expression. This blend will create a solemn and festive spectacle, revealing the creative history of “Festa Cortese” as a multi-layered artistic narrative.

This anniversary evening is dedicated to friends, loved ones, and cultural gourmands – people who look for substance and artistic stance in culture, rather than superficial glitter.
