The year 2025 is special – we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, one of Lithuania’s most iconic artists. To mark this occasion, we invite you to the long-term interdisciplinary art project exhibition “The World of Čiurlionis.”
Times change, but the magic of Čiurlionis’ art remains eternal – it continues to inspire, connect, and speak from heart to heart.
This project embraces not only visual art, music, and design but also contemporary themes such as intergenerational connection, education, creative exchange, and the promotion of Lithuanian culture.
The exhibition and creative activities offer a unique opportunity to rediscover Čiurlionis’ radiant world, unleash your creativity, and share inspiring moments with others.
The project includes creative interpretations “Letters to Čiurlionis” by first-year Fashion Design students of the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), the fashion exhibition “Čiurlionis’ Beloved Women” by VDA Professor Jolanta Talaikytė, and the children’s workshop “Let’s Grow Wings.”
In the workshops, children will explore one of Čiurlionis’ iconic artistic symbols – angel wings – deconstructing and recreating them with various drawing and collage materials. Through this creative process, children will not only express themselves artistically but also connect deeply with Čiurlionis’ work. These workshops will be both a fun adventure and a chance to see the world through the eyes of an artist – awakening imagination and creativity.
