The international exhibition “Szymon Czechowicz. A Baroque Master at Pidhirtsi” is the result of years of cooperation between the National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery and the Lviv Historical Museum.
It presents works by the most famous artist of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Szymon Czechowicz (1689–1775) that used to be part of the Pidhirtsi residence’s art collections where they decorated the representational and residential spaces of the palace.
This exhibition invites visitors to explore the invaluable shared heritage of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, while also supplementing the international exhibition already on at the National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, dedicated to the history and art collections of Pidhirtsi.
