JUAN PARADELL SOLÉ

This is an exclusive meeting with a world-famous organ music star – Juan Paradell Solé. He is the emeritus organist of papal liturgies at St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and the titular organist to the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel Choir. He is also a professor of the organ and Gregorian chant at the Licinio Refice Music Conservatory in Frosinone and Honorary President of the Les Amis de l’Orgue Merklin d’Obernai association in France.

Even though he has been playing the organ for more than thirty years at a centre of attraction that draws millions of tourists, he himself is also an avid traveller – the performer’s concert routes have taken him across Europe to South America.

In Vilnius, J. Paradell Solé will perform a rich, colourful and virtuosi programme, where the “cherry on top” will be the public’s favourite, one of the most beautiful and recognisable compositions for organ of all time – Johann Sebastian Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Alongside this Baroque masterpiece will be works resonating with romance and mysticism, transporting us to the landscapes of Spain, and seasoned with a pinch of jazz flavouring.
