Running Event at Liepkalnis – VERTICAL VILNIUS

On September 26, VERTICAL VILNIUS will take place at Liepkalnis – a mountain running event inviting participants to experience Vilnius and its terrain from a different perspective.

Organised in cooperation with the Vilnius City Municipality, the event aims not only to create a distinctive sporting experience in the capital, but also to encourage people to spend more time outdoors, discover mountain running and explore Vilnius in a new way.

Participants can choose from three distances: 10 km / +1,000 m, 6 km / +600 m, or 2 km / +200 m. The courses will take runners across the slopes of Liepkalnis, featuring steep climbs, descents and plenty of vertical gain.

VERTICAL VILNIUS is part of the international ITRA National League. The event is open to both experienced athletes and those looking to try mountain and vertical running for the first time.

On race day, Liepkalnis will also host an event village, where visitors can discover and explore the latest equipment and products for running, mountain sports and active outdoor pursuits. There will also be supporter poster-making workshops, while a unique outdoor sauna will be available for runners to recover after crossing the finish line.

VERTICAL VILNIUS is not just for those taking part in the race. Spectators are also invited to come to Liepkalnis, support the runners and become part of the event atmosphere.
