The best work by A. Lindgren for children, “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter,” is now at Raganiukės Theatre.

In this children’s play, “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter,” we follow the story of a girl growing up in a castle deep in the forest, surrounded by robbers. Ronja is the only child of the robber leader, Mattis, who hopes that one day his daughter will take over his gang.

However, one day a new gang of cutthroats settles on the other side of the mountain, leading to an escalating rivalry between the two groups. Ronja grows up surrounded only by adults, so when she meets Birk – the son of the leader of the rival gang – she can’t resist befriending him. They become friends. Where will this secret friendship lead? How will it affect the relationship between the two warring gangs and their leaders?

“Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter” is a heartfelt and beautiful story about friendship, love, and loyalty.
