“ROMANTIC SAX” – THE ITALIAN PROGRAMME
JUOZAS KURAITIS (saxophone) / DAUMANTAS SLIPKUS (piano)
This winter, Lithuania will be filled with music that smells of Italian evenings, love, cinema, and the joy of life.
“ROMANTIC SAX” returns with a programme that will make you want to book a ticket to Rome, fall in love, or at least sing “Felicità” out loud on your way home.
On stage – one of Lithuania’s most charismatic saxophonists, Juozas Kuraitis, whose concert tickets often disappear from ticket systems faster than people manage to hear about them, together with pianist Daumantas Slipkus, whose playing becomes not merely accompaniment, but a vibrant musical conversation with the saxophone.
During the evening you will hear legendary Italian hits once performed by:
and many other icons of Italian music.
The programme features melodies you will recognize from the very first notes:
“Felicità”, “Libertà”, “Vivo per lei”, “Mamma Maria”, “Caruso”, music from The Godfather and Cinema Paradiso, and many other songs that have become true classics of Italian music.
This is a concert where:
The saxophone will sound so vivid and emotional that, at times, it may feel as though the entire hall has been transported to a small Italian square somewhere in Rome — where music plays, espresso fills the air, and life moves just a little slower.
“ROMANTIC SAX” concerts have already become an evening people return to again and again.
Because this is not just music.
It is a feeling.
Tickets are limited.
And as previous concerts have shown… they never wait for long.
