NORDTEK conference: Green and Digital University Transformation

How can technical universities play an active role in mitigating climate change, promoting more sustainable urban development, and creating smart solutions? What is the importance of citizen engagement and international partnerships, and what role does artificial intelligence (AI) play in the context of sustainability? These and other pressing questions will be explored by participants of the NORDTEK Conference, taking place on June 11–13.

The main theme of the conference, “Green and Digital University Transformation”, reflects not only the most urgent challenges faced by technical universities but also the broader ambitions of cities, countries, and Europe as a whole to live and operate more sustainably and intelligently.

The conference welcomes members of academic communities, representatives from municipalities, businesses, NGOs, students, and everyone interested in building a greener and more advanced future.

Among the keynote speakers are Agnė Vaiciukevičiūtė – former Vice Minister of Transport and a member of Vilnius City Council – who will speak on the role of policymakers in green and digital transformation; Helen Sooväli-Sepping – a sustainability expert – who will pose a provocative question: is sustainability a thing of the past, or is it the beginning of a deeper and more effective approach? Oliver Zofic – Senior Modern Workplace Specialist at Microsoft – will address the challenges of university digitalization; Anton Nikitin – Advisor to the Vilnius City Municipality Administration – will present the city’s green strategy, among many others.
