NACHTGESANG

The concert NACHTGESANG will feature dreamy romantic music. Listeners will have an exclusive opportunity to hear the new programme of the Momentum Choir – opuses for choir by German-Austrian composers of the Romantic 19th century. The unique repertoire will include works for mixed choir by C. Reinecke, F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, R. Schumann, J. Brahms, R. Strauss, H. Herzogenberg, H. Distler, perfectly capturing the meaning of the word and Romanticism.

We invite you to come to this free and open concert and enjoy the masterpieces of the golden fund of Romantic music and find out how this German programme also relates to M. K. Čiurlionis, whose 150th anniversary of birth we are celebrating this year.

Momentum Choir is a Category I mixed choir, founded in 2020, performing choral music of various styles, genres, and eras. The choir currently has more than 35 singing voices. The choir is directed by Dr Imantas Jonas Šimkus and Mantvydas Drūlia.
