Four outstanding jazz musicians from Lithuania, Sweden, and Latvia come together for a unique creative dialogue. The concert will feature original compositions by Mindaugas Stumbras and Linnea Jonsson, enriched by the subtle double bass artistry of Gediminas Stepanavičius and the masterfully crafted rhythmic textures of Kaspars Kurdeko. It is an evening where diverse musical backgrounds merge into a cohesive and vibrant musical narrative.

Mindaugas Stumbras is one of Lithuania’s leading jazz guitarists and composers, whose music combines emotional depth, intellectual sophistication, and vivid sonic imagination. An established figure on the international jazz scene, he graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and his music has been performed at prestigious jazz festivals and clubs across Europe. His artistic language blends jazz with influences from world music, creating a broad stylistic palette. As a bandleader, he has released several albums that showcase his distinctive compositional voice and contemporary jazz aesthetic. Alongside his work as a performer and composer, he actively collaborates with a wide range of European musicians and international music projects.

Linnea Jonsson, the Swedish trumpeter and composer, has rapidly emerged as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Nordic jazz. Acclaimed for her warm, lyrical trumpet sound and evocative compositions, she creates music in which Scandinavian melancholy, expressive improvisation, and melodic clarity blend seamlessly.

A graduate of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Jonsson leads her own ensemble and has performed with many of Sweden’s most prominent jazz orchestras and artists. Her critically acclaimed debut album, Fragments of Spring (2022), introduced her as an exceptional new talent, while her second release, Hive Mind (2025), marks a mature stage in her artistic development, revealing an even more distinctive musical voice, rich ensemble interplay, and an atmospheric approach to musical storytelling.
