Nothing at Sodas 2123: A Night of Shoegaze and Noise
On the last day of summer, shoegaze favourites Nothing will take over Sodas 2123 in Vilnius.
Hailing from Philadelphia, Nothing blend classic shoegaze melancholy with heavy guitars, layers of noise and emotional intensity. Their atmospheric sound combines alternative rock, noise and post-rock, creating a powerful mix of dreamy melodies, distortion and dark nostalgia.
Since emerging in the 2010s, Nothing have become one of the defining names in modern shoegaze and post-rock. Their latest album, a short history of decay, expands their sound even further, with critics noting elements of doom pop and baroque pop alongside their signature melancholic guitar walls.
Supporting Nothing will be Norwegian noise-punk band Hammok. Rising from Norway’s hardcore scene, Hammok are now considered one of the fastest-rising acts in Northern Europe, blending noise rock, post-hardcore and post-punk into an intense, uncompromising sound.
We almost managed to bring Hammok to Vilnius once before – this time, they’re finally making it, and they’re coming with Nothing.
