“MUSIC FOR GOURMETS” CONCERT | “Pokrovo Varpai” Festival

This is one of the most anticipated evenings of the 21st International Folklore Festival “Pokrovo Varpai”, inviting you to taste tradition – live, authentic and incredibly diverse.

The first part will feature Lithuanian and international folklore ensembles presenting the musical traditions of their regions. Voices and melodies passed down from generation to generation will fill the stage, preserving their rhythms, worldview and melodic memory.

The second part will feature masterpieces of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Georgian polyphonic singing, performed by the “Gurulebi” ensemble from the Ozurgeti Cultural Centre in the Guria region, will reveal one of the world’s oldest and most unique vocal traditions – a region where music lives in every voice.

The audience will not only hear exceptional musical performances but also see traditional costumes, rare instruments and folk dances that tell the stories of different peoples. It will be an evening where music becomes a journey – to the roots of cultures, to people’s memories and to what connects us all.

“Music for Gourmets” is an invitation to taste folklore and discover that tradition can be intimate, unexpected and vibrantly alive in the modern world.
