Daddy Was A Milkman with String Quartet

On August 27, the stage at Lukiškės Prison 2.0 in Vilnius will host another warm and intimate open-air evening, featuring the return of one of the most anticipated names in Lithuanian music — Daddy Was A Milkman. This time, the project led by Ignas Pociūnas will appear not alone, but accompanied by a full live band and a string quartet.

Over the past decade, Daddy Was A Milkman has grown from a local breakthrough into an internationally touring project. The music has reached major arenas in Lithuania, historic estates and castles, festivals across the Baltics, and venues in neighboring countries such as Latvia.

The artist’s steady rise and loyal audience have remained consistent since the beginning. Last year marked the 10-year anniversary of the project with the release of the album Quite Something, which further solidified his place in the regional alternative pop scene.

This will already be the third appearance of Daddy Was A Milkman at Lukiškės Prison 2.0 — a venue the artist describes as almost magical, known for its unique atmosphere and strong emotional connection with audiences.

The upcoming concert promises a blend of early career songs and newer material, shaped by a decade of musical evolution, presented in a richer live arrangement with strings — an intimate, reflective way to close out the summer season.
