Look from the Lofty Towers | Vytautas Rumšas (reciter) and Alexander Paley (piano)

The concert Look from the Lofty Towers invites audiences to a profound and meaningful encounter with the spiritual worlds of two of Lithuania’s most eminent cultural figures – Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and Justinas Marcinkevičius. In their work, music and poetry, imagination and collective memory, quiet inner contemplation and an elevated vision of humanity and culture converge into a singular artistic experience. Throughout the evening, the resonance of the piano and the living poetic word become a bridge between sound and meaning, inviting the listener not merely to hear, but also to reflect – to look “from the lofty towers” upon the self, the passage of time, and the intimation of eternity.

Poetry by Justinas Marcinkevičius will be recited by Vytautas Rumša, while piano works by M. K. Čiurlionis will be performed by Alexander Paley.
