On October 2nd, St. Catherine’s Church will be filled with the energy of London soul and the power of one of Britain’s most outstanding gospel voices.

Born in Jamaica and raised in London, Jason Nicholson-Porter is a British gospel artist, songwriter, vocal arranger, and teacher with over three decades of stage experience.

The UK public discovered Jason in 2018 when he performed “Amazing Grace” during the blind auditions of *The Voice UK*. His voice was powerful enough to make Jennifer Hudson turn her chair and invite him to join her team.

Jason’s three official *The Voice UK* performances—”Amazing Grace,” “Let It Be,” and “When You Believe”—have already garnered over two million views online. His duet performance of “Let It Be” drew a standing ovation, and *The Voice UK* itself hailed the performance as a vocal battle worthy of a global stage.

His voice features on Emeli Sandé’s album *Long Live the Angels*; he has provided backing vocals for Wretch 32, toured the UK with *X Factor* runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, and performed his own original music in South Africa.

The British publication *Keep The Faith* describes him as having a “golden voice” and being one of the UK’s strongest gospel vocalists. *The Guardian* cites Jason’s performances alongside those of Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond as examples of a true gospel show—one that the audience not only hears but feels, rising to their feet in response.

His original song “Smile” was nominated for Best Song at the Premier Gospel Awards.

In Vilnius, Jason will perform alongside pianist and *Downtown Piano Lab* founder Vytautas Straižys. Together, the two artists will create a concert that is intimate yet emotionally powerful: one exceptional voice, one piano, and the unique acoustics of St. Catherine’s Church.
