Extended Tour at the K. Varnelis House-Museum

In this extended tour, you will embark on a two-hour journey through the world created by Kazys Varnelis, a master of optical art and collector!

Housed in one of the oldest brick buildings in Vilnius, the museum exhibits nearly 1,000 works: the largest collection of K. Varnelis’s own creations in the world, European and Far Eastern art from the 15th to the 20th centuries, historic furniture, and maps.

The exhibition, spread over more than 40 rooms, is filled with visual surprises: optical illusions, theatrical scenes, and unexpected spatial transformations. You will also have the chance to explore the most valuable books from K. Varnelis’s library and see the impressive artist’s studio — spaces not accessible during a regular museum visit or general guided tour.
