In the evening, the museum will invite everyone to celebrate, with the courtyard filled with the sounds of live music by Mexeny and “dargana”.

The Digital Generation and Museums – How Can We Find Common Ground?
Participants: LNMA Director General Dr Arūnas Gelūnas, philosopher and creativity researcher Prof. Dr Kristupas Sabolius, actor, playwright, director and educator Justas Tertelis, writer and education expert Unė Kaunaitė, and student Saulė Gudavičiūtė. The discussion will be moderated by event and TV presenter Ignas Krupavičius.
How does today’s youth see the museum – as a boring storage space for exhibits or as an engaging environment that encourages creativity and self-reflection? What challenges do museums face when trying to attract younger audiences in the digital age, where virtual entertainment and social media compete for their attention? We will discuss the obstacles Lithuania faces in creating an alliance between education and culture that responds to the expectations of teachers, parents and young people.
14:50–15:25
Between Instinct and Institution – What Is an Educator?
Participants: artist Pijus Čeikauskas, coordinator of educational activities at the Vilnius University Museum Iveta Kemėšytė, and curator of educational programmes at the LNMA National Gallery of Art Eglė Nedzinskaitė will discuss how the work of an educator balances the roles of artist, teacher and community inspirer. The discussion will be moderated by Goda Aksamitauskaitė.
What shapes an educator’s identity – professional boundaries, an inner calling or a hunger for creative self-expression? Why does the role of an educator in Lithuania often remain ambiguous, balancing between the roles of artist, teacher and activist? The discussion will explore how professional standards and self-taught experience shape the work of educators and how this role is reflected in the context of culture and society.
15:30–16:05
Art Therapy and Education. What Goes with What?
Participants: Daiva Banikonienė, curator of educational programmes at the LNMA Radvila Palace Museum of Art; textile artist and art therapist Mantas Televičius; and art therapist, head and co-founder of the association “Demencija Lietuvoje” Ieva Petkutė. The discussion will be moderated by art historian and LNMA Deputy Director General for Exhibitions and Education Jolanta Marcišauskytė-Jurašienė.
Art therapy and art education – what goes with what? How do they complement each other and where are the boundaries? Through specific examples and success stories, we will explore how art therapy and education come together in a museum environment, creating a space that supports emotional self-expression, health and social cohesion.
