Forming the rhythmic core of Veronika ChiChi’s ensemble, each of them is renowned in the jazz world, and together with all the musicians they have played with, they comprise an entire encyclopedia of Lithuanian jazz. The trio’s leader, Dmitrius Golovanovas, is one of the most influential and active figures in modern Lithuanian jazz, an engaged community activist and educator, the president of the Lithuanian Jazz Federation, a recipient of both Lithuanian and international awards, and rightly acclaimed as one of today’s best Lithuanian jazz pianists.

The trio’s music is built on elements familiar to the listener—rhythm, harmony, melody—but their bold experimentation and openness to surprises prevent them from being confined to a single genre.
