Christmas Holiday

Christmas is one of the most anticipated and significant holidays of the year, symbolizing peace, family unity, and a new beginning.

In Lithuania, Christmas is celebrated over three days:

• December 24th – Christmas Eve (usually a shortened workday, but it is an official public holiday).
• December 25th – Christmas Day (official public holiday).
• December 26th – Second Christmas Day (official public holiday).

Opening Hours and Places to Visit

Since December 24th–26th are public holidays, many shops, museums, and other institutions may be closed or operate with reduced hours. On December 24th, working hours are often limited, so it is recommended to check opening times in advance from official sources.
