Climate Forum: Why Do Some Solutions Work While Others Face Resistance?

Climate goals may seem clear—until we start asking who will pay for the transition, who will need to change their daily habits, and whether people will be offered realistic alternatives.

Why do some climate policies gain public support while others become stalled in political negotiations or provoke resistance? How can we communicate change not only accurately, but persuasively? And what ultimately determines whether a good idea becomes effective policy?

At this open Climate Forum, these questions will be discussed by Member of Parliament and former Minister of Environment Simonas Gentvilas, LRT journalist Karolina Panto, and Martynas Norbutas, Head of the Green Transport Group at the Transport Innovation Association. The discussion will be moderated by Ieva Budraitė, a PhD candidate in climate policy at Mykolas Romeris University.

The event is open to everyone interested in gaining a better understanding of climate policy and how it affects our cities, transport, housing, and everyday expenses.
