City Festival “Vilnius Ore” 2024

After a year’s break, “Vilnius Ore”, a music festival that invites Vilnius residents and visitors to spend more time in nature, returns to the VU Botanical Garden in Vingis Park and introduces this year’s participants: Angelou and the bands Kamanių Šilelis, Golden Parazyth and Los Secretos de Pablo.

“Vilnius Ore” not only gives the audience the opportunity to see their favourite performers surrounded by nature, but also to get to know different species of flowers and plants. During the festival, unique art installations are also organised, and this year a beautiful tradition will be continued: each “Vilnius Ore” performer will plant a rose in the VU Botanical Garden, thus creating a unique festival flower garden.

“We are very happy that this summer we will be able to open the gates of the garden to visitors once again, and the “Vilnius Ore” Festival audience will be among the first to see the renewed Botanical Garden. Thanks to the festival, even more people in the city will be able to admire our beautiful garden and learn more about nature,” says Regina Juodkaitytė, the Head of the Vingis Division of the VU Botanical Garden.

This summer, the festival will take place for four days, from 16 to 19 July, offering a variety of musical styles. On 16 July, the festival will be opened by Angelou, one of the country’s most prominent R&B and soul artists and a five-time M.A.M.A. nominee, whose album “Fazė” became the most listened-to Lithuanian album of 2021.

On the second day of the festival, Kamanių Šilelis, voted the best Lithuanian alternative music band of last year, will perform on stage. The indie-folk band mixes the sounds of traditional folk instruments, electronic music, nature and even everyday household items, which will blend perfectly with the atmosphere of the Botanical Garden.

On 18 July, Golden Parazyth will perform at “Vilnius Ore” festival, a band that is distinguished by its “indie” and alternative pop style and emotionality, which has performed hundreds of concerts at festivals both in Lithuania and abroad, and which has opened for such world-class stars as Hurts and Lana del Rey.

Los Secretos de Pablo, who are rapidly gaining popularity in the Lithuanian music scene, will end the city festival on 19 July. The band consisting of thirteen musicians is known for its infectious good mood and Latin American rhythms, and its performances make the audience feel as if they are at a real Latin party.
