ZUZANNA SEJBUK (piano, Poland)
Concert organised together with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius and the Polish Institute in Vilnius
Fryderyk Chopin’s music is like a key to audience’s hearts – Zuzanna Sejbuk, the guest performer for the opening of Christopher’s Picnics, is certainly convinced of this.
She is a talented Polish pianist of the younger generation who has earned international recognition and has amassed a swathe of important awards. An enthusiast of Chopin’s music, she has appeared in concerts on Poland’s most famous stages – at the composer’s birthplace in Żelazowa Wola, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, at the Krzysztof Penderecki Centre, etc.
A recipient of numerous scholarships for her distinguished achievements, the performer continues on her musical path, impressing audiences with her sensitivity, precision and original interpretations.
At the Bernardine Gardens, we shall join the pianist in twirling to the rhythm of the waltz, admiring meandrous mazurka figurations, diving into the serenity of the nocturne, and experiencing the grandeur of the composer’s ballads, all culminating with Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante in E-flat Major.
