With your free visitor ticket, you can discover Vilnius’ first power plant up close, join inspiring guided tours, and explore current exhibitions. You will also get to dive into the world of technology, take part in a creative 3D pen workshop, and try out countles interactive museum exhibits. Plus, by registering for guided tours at the water reservoir, you can cool off from the summer heat, immerse yourself in “underwater life,” and hear captivating stories from our guides accompanied by impressive visualizations.

Exhibitions at the Museum:

  • Transformation Hall (€3.50)

An interactive exhibition exploring humanity’s relationship with energy, designed to inspire interest in science and technology by presenting exact sciences in an engaging, accessible way. Each exhibit combines historical storytelling with an interactive challenge.

  • Exhibition: “Nikola Tesla – The Energy That Changed the World” (€3.50)

Do you know how one person’s ideas transformed our world through electricity? This international exhibition invites you to explore Tesla’s revolutionary inventions—from alternating current and the Tesla coil to visions of wireless energy transfer—and experience how bold thinking shaped today’s tech landscape.

  • Vilnius Industry Exhibition (Free)

Discover the industrial history of Vilnius from the city’s founding to the present day. See technologies and items produced in Vilnius that may seem like ancient history to modern visitors—or spark a touch of nostalgia. The exhibition reveals how total industrialization reshaped the city and daily life. You can also visit a recreated typical 1960s apartment of a settler in a Soviet-era khrushchyovka.

  • Interactive Exhibition: “Technical Science and Tech for Kids” (Free)

Located on the top two floors of the museum, this colorful hands-on space breaks down natural sciences into simple, attractive concepts. While designed for younger visitors, adults love it just as much! Have fun interacting with exhibits like the hyperboloid, Jacob’s ladder, the Möbius strip, gravity slide, Bernoulli ball, and more.

  • Guided Tour: “Enlighten Yourself! How the Power Plant Works” (Free)

Walk through Vilnius’ first power plant on the ground floor, featuring authentic equipment such as steam boilers, turbines, and a control panel. The basement houses steam condensers and piping, along with working scale models of the Kruonis Pumped Storage Plant and the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (a section of which was used during the filming of HBO’s Chernobyl).

  • Lasers and Photonics Exhibition (Free)

An interactive exhibition dedicated to photonics and laser technology! See how future tech is born and test out custom games and simulations. Did you know a perfectly tuned laser beam can cool atoms down to temperatures colder than deep space? Lithuania has been a global trendsetter in laser tech for decades, yet much of the field remains a mystery—time to unlock it!

  • 3D Pen Drawing Workshop (€2.00)

Throughout the day, kids are invited to boost their creativity in a workshop using specialized 3D pens to turn drawings into unique 3D souvenirs to take home.
