„Artistai” live | D. Žvirblis and ATIKA

The cozy courtyard of the music club “Artistai” is the starting point of the summer-long music series “Artistai” live”, featuring well-known songwriters and performers, actors and creatives, and organised by the experts of good music, “Bardai LT”.

On 10 June 2025, at 7:00 p.m., the concert series will be opened by the band “Atika”, fronted by Darius Žvirblis. The band promises a memorable and meaningful experience in the Old Town under the summer sky, gathering the most beautiful songs. Darius will be joined on stage by: Haroldas Liumparas – electric guitar, Michailas Denisenko – drums, Aurimas Stonys – bass guitar. The band “Atika” was founded in 1996, and the line-up has changed frequently, with only the leader remaining the same, whose songs are still played today. Darius has said of his work: “I put my experiences, fantasies and morbidities into the lyrics. Basically, these are my secret diaries, which in theory I wouldn’t show to anyone. But since these are songs, I say: let’s sing together. And the rhythm and rhyme are like toys, like “Monopoly” cards or lego blocks. It’s so much fun to play sometimes. What I miss most in art today are the non-artists. Creators who seem to be saying – look, old man, I’m just like you – an ordinary person who could die at any moment. So, come on, I’ll buy you an ice-cream, and you eat and watch – I’ll do something simple, cute and understandable. That’s exactly what I want – for my songs to remind people that we are all the same in life and death.”
