H-Blockx to Perform in Vilnius: From \u201990s Hits to a New Chapter for the Band<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

One of Germany\u2019s most prominent alternative rock and metal bands of the 1990s, H-Blockx, is coming to Lithuania. \u201cRisin\u2019 High\u201d, \u201cMove\u201d, \u201cLittle Girl\u201d and other songs from the band\u2019s catalogue will be heard live in Vilnius on March 9, when H-Blockx take the stage at Kablys. But the band are not coming to Lithuania on nostalgia alone \u2013 this year, after a fourteen-year break, H-Blockx released a new album, \u201cFillin_the_Blank\u201d, which reached No. 3 on the German Albums Chart.<\/b><\/p>\n

The story of H-Blockx began in M\u00fcnster in the early 1990s, with the band making their major breakthrough in 1994 following the release of their debut album, \u201cTime to Move\u201d. Blending alternative rock and metal with elements of rap, H-Blockx developed a sound that became a distinctive part of the era\u2019s heavier alternative music scene, while the videos for \u201cRisin\u2019 High\u201d and \u201cMove\u201d made it onto MTV.<\/p>\n

\u201cTime to Move\u201d remained on the German Albums Chart for an impressive 62 weeks and sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide. In 1995, H-Blockx were nominated for Best Breakthrough Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Over more than three decades, the band have released numerous albums, toured extensively across Europe and established themselves as a recognised name on Germany\u2019s alternative metal and rap metal scene.<\/p>\n

But today\u2019s H-Blockx have no intention of living solely on their \u201990s legacy. In 2024, the band embarked on a 30th-anniversary tour celebrating their debut album \u201cTime to Move\u201d, and revisiting those early songs became the catalyst for new music.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was when it became clear to me what a new H-Blockx album needed to sound like: we had to go back to our own DNA, to our core,\u201d says the band\u2019s drummer and producer Steddy.<\/p>\n

The result was \u201cFillin_the_Blank\u201d, released on March 6, 2026 \u2013 the band\u2019s first studio album in fourteen years. On the record, H-Blockx return to the sound that became their trademark: powerful guitar riffs, a fusion of rock, metal and rap, and instantly memorable choruses. The album reached No. 3 on the German Albums Chart \u2013 the highest chart position of the band\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

The album opens with \u201cStraight_Outta_Nowhere\u201d, a song whose title also aptly captures the band\u2019s own return. \u201cJust like when we made our debut and seemed to come out of nowhere, we feel exactly the same way now. Maybe after so many quiet years, people don\u2019t expect much from the band anymore. But to us, everything feels just as intense as it did in the very beginning,\u201d says H-Blockx vocalist Henning Wehland.<\/p>\n

More than three decades after \u201cTime to Move\u201d, H-Blockx are taking the stage with new music while retaining the energy that defined the band from the start.
