The invited dance performance \u201cRAW\u201d, presented as part of the \u201cSol Oriens\u201d Youth Theatre Arts Festival programme, invites audiences to look at the human psyche without embellishment or predetermined answers.<\/p>\n
\u201cRAW\u201d is a dance performance about what often remains unspoken within us: inner tension, vulnerability, psychological and existential crises, and states for which we do not always find the right words.<\/p>\n
The creators of the performance \u2013 \u201cPhysical ArtHouse\u201d \u2013 based their creative process on the \u201cVerbatim\u201d method and principles of contemporary choreography. They turned to the real stories of people experiencing psychological, existential and social crises. Sentences and fragments recorded during conversations, preserving their authentic language, rhythm and tone, became the starting point for the movement in the performance.<\/p>\n
The title \u201cRAW\u201d refers to an unprocessed, unembellished state. Just as a RAW file in photography preserves an image before it is edited, the dance performance seeks to preserve human experience before it is explained, categorised or \u201cput in order\u201d.<\/p>\n
On stage, the body becomes a kind of archive. It records fatigue, tension, vulnerability and things that cannot always be expressed in words. Restrained, at times trembling choreography, pauses and silence create an emotional landscape in which words meet the body\u2019s reactions.<\/p>\n
\u201cRAW\u201d is a 45-minute dance performance in which documentary material and contemporary dance come together in a sensitive story about a person experiencing an uncomfortable inner state.<\/p>\n
The direction and choreography are by \u201cPhysical ArtHouse\u201d; texts and dramaturgy were created by Iwa Pytiak; sound design by Myah.<\/p>\n
The performance features Natalia Hass, Julia Perzy\u0144ska, Marek Zad\u0142u\u017cny, Rados\u0142aw Bajon and Gabriel Zaborniak.<\/p>\n
