After a short break, the concert series \u201cDialogues with \u010ciurlionis\u201d<\/strong> returns to the M. K. \u010ciurlionis House. In the first concert of the new season, Italian pianist Vincenzo De Martino<\/strong> will present the programme \u201cEchoes of \u010ciurlionis\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEchoes of \u010ciurlionis\u201d<\/strong> is a three-part musical journey connecting the sound worlds of M. K. \u010ciurlionis and other composers, while revealing links between humanity, nature and the universe.<\/p>\n

Italian pianist Vincenzo De Martino<\/strong> has been living in Lithuania since 2015. He studied piano at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Professor Jurgis Karnavi\u010dius\u2019 piano class, obtaining his master\u2019s degree in 2017 and completing his artistic doctorate in 2021. The pianist is a finalist and laureate of various international competitions and has performed in Italy, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland and the Baltic States. He actively researches the music of Lithuanian composers, whose works have long been an integral part of his repertoire.<\/p>\n

\n

Over its seven years of existence, \u201cDialogues with \u010ciurlionis\u201d<\/strong> has become an integral part of the M. K. \u010ciurlionis House\u2019s cultural programme. The aim of the series is to encourage foreign pianists to include \u010ciurlionis\u2019 works in their concert programmes and present them in their home countries and while performing in different parts of the world. Thanks to this series, M. K. \u010ciurlionis\u2019 music has already been performed in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and other countries.<\/p>\n

This is the first \u201cDialogues with \u010ciurlionis\u201d<\/strong> concert of the autumn season.
