On September 16 at 6:00 PM, the Vilnius Shalom Festival will present a special concert, \u201cThe Prayer of the Shofar,\u201d at the Vilnius Choral Synagogue. The concert will invite listeners on a moving musical journey where ancient Jewish traditions, prayer, and contemporary concert music come together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program will be performed by:
\nBar Zemach<\/strong> \u2013 French horn, shofar (Israel\/Germany)
\nYevgenii Musijets<\/strong> \u2013 bayan (Ukraine)
\nTadas Daujotas<\/strong> \u2013 shofars<\/p>\n

The concert program will feature traditional Jewish music, works by Israeli composers, and improvisations for the shofar \u2014 one of the world\u2019s oldest musical instruments, whose sound has accompanied Jewish prayer, celebrations, and important historical moments for thousands of years.
\nThe unique combination of shofar, French horn, and bayan will create a special musical atmosphere, inviting the audience to pause, listen, and experience the deep spiritual symbolism of this instrument.<\/p>\n

Vilnius Shalom Festival<\/strong> is the third international festival of Jewish music and culture, held in Lithuanian capital Vilnius, a city often referred to as the Jerusalem of the North. From September 13 to October 7, enjoy a rich program of classical, jazz, and klezmer concerts, the Shofar March, and educational events.<\/p>\n
