After a two-year break, the contemporary circus festival HELIUM<\/strong> returns on September 10\u201320, inviting audiences to explore time \u2013 its acceleration, slowing down, and those moments when it seems to stop completely…<\/p>\n

Four carefully selected works by international contemporary circus artists will offer a variety of experiences where opposites meet: fragility and strength, tension and calm, magic and everyday life, gravity and levitation.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s festival will also spotlight Lithuanian premieres<\/strong>. TEATRONAS will present its interpretation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales, while TAIGI CIRKAS will present not only a performance exploring what happens when everything we are used to becomes uncontrollable, but also the installation THIS IS NOT A DEATH SCENE<\/strong>, which will be on display in the foyer of the Arts Printing House throughout the festival.<\/p>\n

The festival programme will also feature the educational programmes YOUNG CRITIC<\/strong> and Scenos konTEKSTAI<\/strong>. Those with experience in movement on stage will be invited to take part in micro-acrobatics workshops<\/strong>, while a discussion will bring together those eager to share their thoughts on contemporary circus as an art form.<\/p>\n
