Drawing on real stories, historical facts, and the atmosphere of the era, Andrius will take the audience on a journey through the 1990s and early 2000s—a period of rapid change and discovery. For some, it was a time of adolescence and exploration; for others, a whirlwind of societal transformation.

The show reflects on the early years of Lithuania’s independence, when everything seemed new: streets filled with cars and fashions previously seen only in magazines, homes transformed, and satellite TV offered an unprecedented range of channels. Through the lens of Andrius Užkalnis’ irony and observations, along with period music, the audience will relive where we lived, what we drove, what we ate, how we dressed, and how we entertained ourselves.

“During the first decade of Independent Lithuania, we absorbed everything uncritically and immediately. To do things differently, we needed time and experience—but there was none. This was our great learning period, full of scraped knees and bruised elbows. And our past, now resting in museums, is almost gone. The only thing left from that era is us—and that’s what we’ll talk about.” – Andrius Kaniava

Event details:

Duration: 90 min

Doors open: 6:00 PM

Table reservations: club@tamsta.com or +370 669 49 342 (free, held until 6:30 PM)
