The Autumn was Welcomed by Fire Signs

When the day becomes equal to the night a traditional Festival of the autumnal equinox “Vilniaus legenda” (Vilnius’ Legend) is organised near the Neris River in Vilnius. This year it was devoted to the commemoration of the thousandth anniversary of Lithuania. With the help of music, songs, fire, river water, students and schoolchildren of Vilnius showed the signs that go back to the days of Gediminas, which symbolised Vilnius.

It is not the first time that I have participated in such a Festival and every time its organisers surprise me anew. Every time I look forward to the next autumn.

If the weather is fine next year I suggest that you should take something to sit on, and something warm to drink because evenings breathe the approaching autumn.
