Memorial for a Monument

The Old Jewish cemetery pictures have taken in 1965, are represented in Rimantas Dichavičius photography exhibition "Memorial for a Monument". These photos were made without the slightest premonition that every glimpse through the lens, captured on paper, would ever become a crystallized memory, a pain-evoking document - the only visual evidence of an ancient existence. Turning to the past and looking at these pictures, you realize that they themselves have become memorials for monuments...
