From Mini to Maxi. The Fashion of the Seventies

from 2011-11-17 to 2012-11-14

Once again Aleksander Vasiljev provides us with an intrigue by presenting an exclusive exhibition "From mini to maxi. The fashion of the seventies". At the Museum of Applied Art there is an exhibition of more than seventy dresses, suits, accessories (more than 200 pieces) and enlarged photographs (62 units) representing the decade of the seventies. The exhibition has been moved to Vilnius from Riga’s Decorative Art and Design Museum and will be running for the whole year.

The whole exhibition is dedicated for the changeable fashion of the seventies. The display consists of the rare examples of haute couture fashion made from the best fabrics and tailored by the best designers. Haute couture fashion stands for quality, luxury, numerous hours of manual work as well as devotion and dedication for the fashion. It focuses on a certain client being attended to his/her needs: acquiring professional tailoring services, including several fittings. Twice a year The House of Fashion keeps on introducing a new collection of professionally tailored model clothes to the public in a quantity of a couple dozen units.
