The Golden Apple-tree, The Wine Well – one of the most beautiful and most popular Lithuanian fairy tales. This is a wonderful story about the step-mother’s oppressed Orphan girl. As in any tale of this type, it is full of evil posed obstacles: the wicked witch with her daughters tortures the girl with insurmountable tasks, but goodness, assisted by the magical forces, eventually wins and the Orphan girl is released and married by the young King and the end of the tale.
